Today we feature a Games card - Card 44, from Deck 2 - The Minister's Cat.
If you don't know how to play, this fun video clip from the 1970 musical "Scrooge" will tell you everything you need to know.
The Christmas Game's blank cards let you include any activities you like, but we included The Minister's Cat because we think that reviving parlor games from a prior century is a great way to reclaim our tradition of spending joyful time together at Christmas without spending money.
We humans used to be experts at having fun together without buying a board game or a video game.
Here at The Christmas Game, we're not against board games, dice games, or even store-bought games. What we are about is games that people can play face-to-face and that require thought, creativity, and interaction. Even better if they can accommodate a varied number of players. Better still if they're free.
That's why there's a lot to love about classic parlor games. We'll be exploring many different such games here at The Christmas Game.
